Research programme
Each year, HAS provides financial support for research projects on topics related to its fields of activity, e.g. quality initiatives, organisation of care, impact of guidelines on clinical practice, assessment methods for products ans procedures.

International affairs
HAS has developed close links with its partners abroad in order to acquire further knowledge and know-how in target subject areas and to share its skills and experience in quality assessment. It takes part in many international conferences and working groups, and regularly welcomes foreign delegations.

Cooperation with professional bodies and scientific societies
Experts who are members of professional bodies and scientific societies regularly contribute to the work of HAS. HAS is also in close contact with medical college deans and faculty members in order to promote the teaching of quality initiatives within the medical curriculum.

Contacts with patients' groups and users
Representatives of patients' groups and users sit on several HAS committees and working groups so that HAS' decisions may take their expectations into account.
