Participation in public health projects financed by the European Commission

  •  The European Network for Patient Safety and Quality of Care (PaSQ), which is coordinated by HAS. The project, aims to establish an umbrella network of all 27 EU Member States and EU stakeholders to encourage and enhance collaboration in the field of Patient Safety and Quality of Care (HAS contact : J. Bacou).

  • ALzheimer COoperation and Valuation in Europe. This project aims to set up a sustainable European network for sharing experiences to better understand, detect, prevent and combat Alzheimer Disease and other dementias in European countries. The network, coordinated at the EU level by HAS involves 14 EU member States. It will improve knowledge to formulate recommendations in order to facilitate health care decision making with a common focus on psychotropics risk reduction (HAS contact : A.   •  “Deepening our Understanding of Quality Improvement in Europe (DUQuE)” is a major EU funded research Project. The project aims to study the effectiveness of quality improvement systems and their impact on patient level outcomes. It will explore whether the quality efforts in our hospitals and hospital departments are associated with better results in terms of clinical, patient safety and patient reported outcomes. Data collection will be carried out using various methods in 240 hospitals randomly selected from 8 countries in Europe.
    The HAS and the CCECQA (Comité de Coordination de l’Evaluation Clinique et de la Qualité en Aquitaine) are the co-ordinating bodies for hospital involvement and data collection in France

Cooperation with foreign countries : HAS has welcomed many delegations seeking to learn more about its work in the areas of accreditation, continuing professional development in CQI and assessment of medicinal products.

Peer-reviewed articles in international journalsHAS staff have published several articles in peer-reviewed journals on work carried out at HAS.
