Evaluation of the gene amplification of Herpesviridae (herpes simplex and varicella-zoster virus) with mucocutaneous and ocular manifestations - INAHTA Brief

The aim of this work is to analyse the consistency between demand, on the one hand, and good practice guidelines and the view of professionals on the other. This work was conducted with a view to including testing for the genome of the herpes simplex virus (HSV) and varicella-zoster virus (VZV) through gene amplification (PCR) to diagnose herpes and shingles with mucocutaneous and ocular manifestations on the list of clinical laboratory procedures reimbursed by the National Health Insurance system in France
